Slow Ride

Commentary:  Kev the Rev's solo track.  This one contains a sample from a jazz group called Art Blakely and the Jazz Messengers.  Kind of a coffee house feel

Lyrics:  As the green scene becomes movingly serene, I double back - track count my steps, run laps around the outer banks of the pool-side, the Conversation on a slow ride, frees my mind while I'm losing time.  Oh, its alright cuz everyone's got their thing, might have to pull a few strings to hear this phone ring, and no that's not me on the other end; that's me with the message we all send.  It was to tell y'all how its all - (Slow Ride) - Interconnected, thoughts intersected, now I'm less respected, if I don't represent the cool breeze. its no tease if there's no trees to hand onto.  then who through can you know is true.  You can take it from me, but don't listen unless you happen to glisten with the motive quite emotive and provocative.  Why am I so talkative its not the need to live, I give anyone a chance to enhance the conversation (Slow Ride, Slow Ride).

I might be a shy guy, but in time if you know why I am this way then maybay we'll see eye to eye no wait maybe its ear to ear, shit.

it could be both, I'm under oath from the judge who won't budge and holds a grudge upon my case, its a disgrace and a shame how people place the blame, they aim, straight for the soul.  A square shape in a round hole, you know it goes inside; the conversation on a slow ride.

(interlude)

Now that you're feeling plenty fine, don't you dare press rewind.  All this is well - timed.  I'll leave you on one final note, just one more vote for the free-thinkers, tea-drinkers, hook-sinkers.  From the dock to the stock, back drops and blocks streets be filled with acid rain sending pain like purple stains on walls and falls further precipitation; changing the stations while driving - is dangerous.
